Roland has been a Youth Worker since 2004, marking the start of his journey in the social service sector. Over the years, his passion has expanded into non-profit management and leadership, and he currently serves as the Executive Director of Boys’ Town.

Roland's vision for social services emphasises strong organisational values and the importance of cultivating compassionate individuals. He often states, “It’s not enough to just have a good heart; we need people with strong hearts in this field.”

Appointed as a Social Service Fellow by NCSS, Roland has engaged in various roles, including research, training, and conference presentations, sharing his expertise and mentoring several social service professionals. His commitment lies in aligning people toward common goals while balancing ideals with practical realities to foster the overall development of the social service sector.
