Sea-ty is an approach to house communities on surrounding water to deal with the epidemic public housing problem. This design is located away from the mainland to allow residents to start life anew without the presence of the hustle and bustle of urbanised Singapore. This typology is an idea on combining vernacular sea living and western-style clustered living in a modernised environment. This allows dwellers to be self-sufficient through vertical gardening, aquaponics and fish farming.
